Alright people. I’ve got two words for you.
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed recently, but “food truck” is a serious buzz phrase right now. Those things are absolutely everywhere! The city is peppered with them, they’re at outdoor concerts and events, there’s even a food truck food court in Burnside (you should definitely check it out if you haven’t already). Any food truck I’ve seen has been decorated to the nines and has it’s own unique personality. Not only are food trucks really stinking cool, they provide their customers withincredible food! How could you not want one of these trendy trucks serving the guests at your wedding?
When it comes to food trucks, there is honestly a truck out there for everything! Grilled cheese sandwiches, burritos and tacos, donuts, Lebanese dishes, burgers, fish and chips – it wouldn’t be hard to find a truck to suit your special day. And we’re not just talking about your typical street food here people – these trucks are a foodies nomadic gourmet dream! I’m not joking when I say that some of the best food I’ve eaten in Halifax has been made in a truck.
There’s even a Street Food App for Apple and Android that you can download to make your food truck life as easy as pie. It shows what trucks are open when and has an interactive map to show you each trucks location. It also keeps updated Top Ten lists of “Newest” and “Most Popular” trucks.
I’m attending a few weddings in Nova Scotia this summer and, for my own selfish taste buds, I’m really hoping that this trend has already caught on!
